2010 at Windyrush

Windyrush Sign in SnowWith snow still melting and a cold, grey rain falling outside, I find myself anxious for a hot Carolina summer and time by the pool and on the courts at Windyrush. However, I was quickly reminded that Windyrush can truly be a year round activity for our members. When the old clubhouse was still standing, we regularly had memebers at the club in the winter for football games, parties, exercise classes and other activities.

With the new facilities approved by the membership last year, we will take that even further. I envision members stopping by for a quick workout or group class in the morning or on the way home from work. Families will use the clubhouse for birthdays and other special events. The Windyrush Super Bowl party will be the envy of South Charlotte. And tennis on a 40 degree day will seem a lot less daunting when you can warm up after the match inside the new clubhouse. I don't think any of this is an exageration -- Windyrush can be just as much the social hub of the neighborhood in the fall & winter as we've come to know it in the summer.

Take another look at the plans for our expansion and think about what you want from Windyrush as a year round club. Let us know what kinds of activities you would like to see. The following resources are available on the site about the building project:

If you have any questions, please contact us via email through the Windyrush office.  Please email Phyllis at office@windyrush.com.

In closing, 2010 looks to be another very exciting year for Windyrush Country Club!  As you consider all of this information, please remember that we are making an investment in the future of our club.   As we celebrate the club’s 40th birthday , we hope that this clubhouse project will kick off at least another forty wonderful years at Windyrush!

Sincerely,
